Well our Internet has been down at our house for awhile and we waited to get it back up and running because of a change we might have had in our lives (more on that on my blog) but we are still out so I'm at my dad's. I realized I hadn't updated on my little guy in awhile and today is the perfect day since he had a visit with his cardiologist.
So everything is fine. It took awhile to get seen because they had an emergency at the doctor's office which would have been annoying only if Trio had thrown a fit. He did fine and since I can only imagine the horrors of what an emergency can be in a pediatric cardiology office I didn't get mad because....well you know. But once we were everything went pretty smoothly. Trio did well during his ultrasound he even talked to the technician like he was always does. It was hilarious because here he is laying back on the cot with one hand behind his head watching "Elmo". He looked like a king having servants pamper him. He only really get antsy towards to end but compared to the days when he was like seven months and he threw a tee-total fit I'll take it.
His gradient was fine which in non-medical people speak means something along the lines of the way his valve looked is lower than it was. His right side of his heart hasn't gotten bigger (that's the part with the patch on it) so we're cleared on any surgery or balloon cath for awhile. He doesn't want to see us again until six months which makes me happy that we're not looking at a hospital stay before his birthday. We do however have to increase his medicine to 2 mL three times a day but since he's good at taking medicine it's not too terribly bad. Other than that everything seems fine.
So now the next big thing in our life is his birthday party and figuring out where we're going to put toys LOL. Like I said the only thing I have a problem with is anything Spongebob. Yeah sometimes as a parent it's a pain to figure out where to put toys but it makes kids happy plus a lot of our friends are having children so we're about to do a whole massive cleaning and figure out what we can pass on you know? The backroom is now Trio's playroom and since we're going to be where we're at until at least March of 2011 I'm not too worried. I'll try to keep blogging more regularly once our Internet is up.
